Enemy numbers rise to roughly double those of the previous game, so every mission throws more giant enemies at the squad. Defeated enemies drop devices that upgrade weapons, which lets players tune loadouts to their own tactics. More than half of the existing missions are rebuilt, and new missions bring new enemies. This PS5 entry has not been released, so how the new balance plays remains unknown.
