Zack Fair, a young operative in Shinra's elite SOLDIER unit, takes on missions from Midgar, the mako-powered city that houses the company's headquarters. Combat runs through a reworked battle system built for smoother play, and every cutscene now has English or Japanese voice acting. This is a prequel, so the story is fixed and the ending is known. It plays alone on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
