Team Sonic Racing scores you as a team, so power-ups and speed boosts are meant to be passed to teammates rather than hoarded. That rule suits groups who want to coordinate over online lobbies of up to 12 players. Racers fall into three character types, and vehicle customization lets each build lean toward a different style. The PS4 release is a straight arcade racer with no mention of a story mode, which leaves lone racers with less to chase.
