Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord drops a custom character into a Dark Ages sandbox, where you recruit companions, raise armies and fight in real-time battles and sieges. Combat is directional, with strikes and blocks from different angles, on foot or horseback. The main storyline is optional, so the campaign has no fixed path, and goals come only from the player.
