A fight against the Corrupted starts with the lead Construct dodging a hit, then tagging in a squad mate mid-combo. The 3-Ping skill system covers parries, dodges and Signature Moves. Story chapters run into the hundreds and fill in the Punishing Virus plot between missions. Recruiting more Constructs widens the roster, and hundreds of enemy variants wait across city ruins, deserts and frozen wastelands. Much of the plot arrives as visual-novel scenes, so reading takes up part of every session.
