A turn starts at the ministry desk: set taxes, take a loan, then send troops toward a neighbor. The economy runs on food, gold, iron, oil and uranium, which feed plants, mines and an army. Diplomacy gives a quieter route, with UN votes, embassies and sanctions across 180 nations. Battles are turn-based, so planning matters more than reflexes. Military, religious and ideological victories each demand a different long campaign.
