The rules are not the classic falling-block ones: you trace puyos on the board instead of steering pairs. Chains of four same-colour puyos make characters of that colour attack, and quests send you through battles with a team of collected character cards. Cards can be merged to level up or evolve, and a guild with its own tower lets players team up. A separate mode, とことんぷよぷよ, keeps the familiar rules for anyone who prefers them. Start there if tracing feels odd.
How To Play?
Trace puyos on the board to clear them
Link four of one colour to start a chain
Line up long chains so your characters attack
Merge cards together to level them up
Join a guild to raise its tower and take on bosses
