The roster is the deciding factor here: more than 450 Digimon can be collected, raised and customized for turn-based battles. It suits players who enjoy building a team and planning around evolutions more than reacting in real time. The story follows an agent thrown eight years into the past, with travel between the human world and the Digital World: Iliad. Combat is strictly menu-driven, so there is no action-style control. Everything is single player.
