Sword x Staff combines an idle RPG with a large map that you actually walk around in. You play the Chosen Adventurer in Kanstein, moving through regions such as Verdantglade, Cinder Ridge, Aqualis and Loong Haven. Over 200 skills can be combined into a custom fighting style. Resources keep piling up while the game is closed, and a Traveling Merchant leaves rare goods behind. Progress depends partly on waiting, so it suits slow, low-pressure sessions better than fast action.
