Clear data from 1st Chapter carries over and unlocks bonus items, so this sequel expects the first game to be finished. Combat adds new Crafts and S-Crafts, and Brave Rush links party attacks during Quick Battles. Arts still run through the orbment system. Fishing, poker and cooking with companions fill the downtime. The story is the main draw, and a player starting here would miss the setup.
