A battle starts with a hand of skill cards, and two cards of the same rank merge into a stronger one before the Ultimate Move lands. Behind that sit Death Matches played with friends in real time, Demonic Beast Battles against enemies that grow stronger on each floor, and Demon King Battles. The story retells the original anime in 3D, with extra game-only chapters. Outfits for the heroes are cosmetic. Fights are won on card order alone.
