Kingdom Rush Origins TD is a prequel, so it takes the signature tower defense formula and sets it in elven territory, with no new genre ideas. The battlefield plan stays familiar: place towers, then react to each wave. Even so, 8 specialized tower upgrades, over 18 battlefield abilities and 16 upgradeable heroes give the defense real variety. Spells and boss fights break up the waves. It suits players who want to plan their tower layouts and play offline.
