Terrain decides how each vehicle handles, so grass and sand punish a careless pick. That suits racers who plan around a skill tree and vehicle categories, not only the fastest lap. Lateral Dash and double jumps open shortcuts and bump rivals aside, and online play is cross-platform on Xbox and PC. Players after a plain arcade sprint get more systems here than they need.
